About

I have been composing and arranging music for many years now, starting with writing arrangements of popular music for the secondary school band and later arranging music for the soul band The Soul Purpose. Over time, I've expanded my skills to create extended works for large forces, including symphony orchestra and wind band. My compositions span various styles and genres, with a particular fondness for new contemporary music and experimental works. I often draw inspiration from my travels or the local area when crafting my musical pieces.

In addition to composition, I am actively involved in music transcription, arrangement, engraving, and orchestration. These services are available for freelance projects, and I welcome inquiries for quotes.

Recent performances of my original compositions or arrangements include Bangor Music Festival ('Colours', 2022, 'Meditation for Brass', 2020), the Bangor University Concert Band Spring Concert ('Motion and Chaos', though the performance was cancelled due to Covid-19), the Bangor University Music Society Orchestra Gala Concert ('Ebbing Tides', also cancelled due to Covid-19), The Red Note Ensemble's 'Digital Noisy Nights' series ('Conflict of Interest'), and virtual recordings of orchestral arrangements by Bangor University massed music society bands and choirs ('You’re In The Band' from School Of Rock and 'Mr Blue Sky'). A recent work ('River Of Time') was workshopped by members of the BBC National Orchestra Wales Wind Quintet in March 2023.
